If you are unsure whether it qualifies, ring us anyway: we would rather talk you through it than have you waiting.

There is a modest out-of-hours supplement for callouts in the evening, on weekends, and on bank holidays. We tell you the exact price before we start anything: if the quote does not work for you, you are free to say no.

What should I do right now while I wait for the engineer?

For a water leak or burst pipe, find and turn off your main stopcock (usually under the kitchen sink or near the water meter). For a heating fault, turn the boiler off. What does a new boiler actually cost to supply and fit in Glasgow?

For a straight like-for-like combi boiler swap on an existing system, you are typically looking at £2,100 to £3,600 all-in. My heating is not working: where should I start?

First check the boiler pressure: the gauge should read between 1 and 1.5 bar. If it is lower, try repressurising using the filling loop. Also check the thermostat is set above room temperature and the timer has not been reset. If none of that resolves it, the fault is likely internal: give us a call and our engineers can often narrow it down over the phone before attending.

Yes. With the Boiler Upgrade Scheme offering grants of up to £7,500 for air source heat pump installations, interest has grown significantly. Our gas engineer carries out a free heat loss survey first to confirm whether your property is a good candidate before you commit to anything.

Do you charge by the hour or give a fixed price?

We give fixed prices for the vast majority of jobs. You know what you are paying before anyone lifts a tool. For unusual or complex work where we genuinely cannot estimate in advance, we agree an hourly rate upfront and discuss it honestly with you first.

My tap has been dripping for weeks: is it worth getting fixed?

Yes, and sooner is cheaper than later. A dripping tap typically wastes thousands of litres of water a year. It also tends to worsen: what starts as a worn washer can eventually damage the valve seat and turn a £65 fix into a full tap replacement. Most tap repairs take under an hour.

Yes to both. Our plumbers carry commercial jetting equipment for blockage clearance and CCTV camera systems for survey work. If we clear a blockage and suspect there is a structural reason it keeps coming back, we put the camera in and show you exactly what is happening.

Any fault that develops because of our workmanship within 12 months of completion. We come back and fix it at no charge. It does not cover misuse or unrelated issues, but it does give you genuine peace of mind: if something we did fails, we own it.

Yes. Finance options are available for boiler replacements and larger heating installations. Options include interest-free periods and low-rate plans, subject to status. Ask our engineer for details when you get your quote.

No. The fixed price we quote covers everything including travel within our standard service area (roughly 15 miles from Glasgow city centre). For jobs further out we may add a small supplement: this is always stated upfront and agreed before we travel.
